Mercy Ships helps to prepare Mwana Safe House

Since August 2013, Mercy Ships and the Africa Mercy has been docked in the port of Pointe-Noire to help locals with medical issues. They have also been a huge blessing to Mwana Villages and a particular encouragement to Cheryl and Lambert, Mwana's founders. Because of their support, Mwana has been able to do more than ever!

Pictures below show the preparation for the Mwana Safe House for Maman Rebecca and the children she cares for. At this home, we cared for a baby there for 2 months while the teenaged orphan mother was hospitalized for severe meningitis. Currently, the home is a safe and welcome place for abandoned teenagers and Maman Rebecca's family who are working diligently to support themselves.
